These other aspects are namely, as follows. Blind increases firstly, can cause you to slow down a little bit if you have already accumulated enough chips to be comfortable. Your position on any given hand can also play a part in how aggressive or how passively you approach the hand, along with the chipstack size of the person to your left, if you are on the button or in the blinds. Other instances can cause you to up the tempo in the way you play hands too of course. Personally, if my stack takes a big hit on a full table, I should have a few hands before I am forced to act, but when I do, you can be sure I will be very aggressive. Often the necessity to act demands a very strong approach to a hand.

In answer to the question itself, there is a time and a place to be patient, and the same applies to aggressive play. Whichever way you approach your situation, you must be thinking clearly about what you feel that action will achieve and why. Overall I am prone to be more aggressive in my play, but I understand precisely what actions and reactions from my opponents play are cause for concern. You must have a clear picture of when to back off and when to press the issue with aggressive play.
